The file size and rendering speed are drastically improved in version 2. We spent a majority of our time updating the RAVIX rendering engine. I am confident you will enjoy the new program. I have 2 approved I-140s from same company with which I am currently working. One PD is end 2004 and another is end 2005.
My I-485 was filed last July with PD end 2004 (I-140 was approved way back in 2006).
Recently, an ombudsman inquiry revealed my PD to be end 2005 and not end 2004. The 140 with PD end 2005 was never used to file 485.
Anybody with similar experience?
How do I get this corrected?
My category is EB2 India.
I m in similar situation , even though we did not specify about the pending 485when filing second 140, they assigned the A number to the newly approved 140 , which is my current priority date . If you look at your recently approved 140 you will see the A number same as on your 485 .
My lawyer send a request 1 month back to fix my PD but no response yet.

I am hoping to port to a new job using AC21. I contacted my attorney with various questions about the process, but she told me that she can not respond to my questions because she represents me as well as the current company I work for. For those of you who are looking to port or have already done so, did you face a similar situation - where your attorney could not advise and assist you through the process of porting? How did you resolve this situation? Did you have to find another attorney to help you with porting to a new job?

If you do that within 6 years from the first time you went into H1-B status (i.e., from the time your H1-B clock started ticking), then yes.
However i also want to know when i plan to move from B to C in future, Although C will file a new H1-B petition, can this petition be filed any time during the year?

I have decided to go for the SB-600 rather than the 800 because I don't think I need the extra functions at this point. It will save on $$$ and weight too.

I just read the instructions for E-filing of AP. This is what it says -
Who is Not Eligible to e-File This Form:
You are not eligible to electronically file this form if:
You have a pending I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence Status or Adjust Status currently at a USCIS office and you are eligible to file the I-131 for no additional fee.
Does that mean that only if your 485 application is @ a local office. My 485 is @ NBC, Biometrics is next week. I was told by my attorney that my application will then be transferred to local office for a interview. Don't know when though. Am i still eligible to E-file. Would appreciate any advice.

The vermont service center says 2 months for h1b extensions, mine has been pending for 75 days, so i called the uscis today and guess what they told me, the processing times have been updated on teh web site but it is very difficult for us to follow them, i would suggest you wait for 90 days and see if there is any change in your online status if not call me back.
Then why do these people keep updating monthly processing dates if they cannot stick to their words.
I believe the processing times are just a gimmick to show progress to press....:mad:

I don't know. It is just puzzling that some people got both while others only got one. What is the basis for approving AP?
Is there any basis needed for approving AP? Is it EAD ? If so my application is in deeps***. onceagain, is there anybody here with this kind of experience. Also since I already took infopass once, is there any use taking it again for my ead ?

I am at the risk of being laid off anytime but will not stop my contributions to IV
I am convinced that this cause is far bigger that 1 job or one individual .
To live with the insecurity of loosing status doubles the anxiety of loosing a job .
I hope that this situation doesnt befall on anybody here on IV....
We deserve better ...All of us here are educated and highly skilled and we deserved to be treated right .
If you think I am right .....Contribute atleast USD 10 right NOW and post it here.
God help us and Capre Diem ( Sieze the day ) to all of us

Last November I quit my job in the US and left the country as well. Two days ago, I received an email saying my 485 is approved, and card production was ordered. The card will go to an address in the US where someone can forward me the mail.
What should I do? Try to enter the U.S. with the card? What to say to POE officials? WIll I be questioned?

If you have AP you will be able to enter into the country without any issues / questions.
